Condition (used):  poor/ barely fair for age  (see below) - some edge/corner wear, marks/grubbiness to the cover and external spine, crayon writing to inside cover, ink name and address to flyleaf, paper separation between inside cover and flyleaf (internal binding intact but becoming loose from the cover), list of birds checked off with pencil and pen ticks, otherwise marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally fair with light tanning throughout and occasional grubbiness - apart from the cuckoo, which has been outlined in pencil, and one pencil line to the final illustration, the colour plates are generally fair/good.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Birds By MKC Scott Described By JA Henderson Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd (Incorporating TC & EC Jack Ltd)".

Other information: hardback without dust jacket - really interesting old book with 48 colour plates - part of the "The Shown Series Edited By Louey Chisholm" - may be of some interest to a collector.
