Condition (used): fair/good for age (see below) - some tarnishing to the shaft, could use a good clean with appropriate polish, otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Identifying marks or labels etc: there are some hallmarks on the handle but they are very indistinct, we think there is a Leopard mark and a lower case "d" and it looks like "A&L" is the makers mark, the shaft has "English Make Steel".
Other information: decorative accessory possibly by Adie & Lovekin, we are uncertain as to the age but would suggest circa late 1880s - may be of some interest to a collector.
