Condition (used): fair for age (see below) - various marks/rubs etc, some tarnishing, a patch of surface corrosion to the base, tarnishing to the interior with some rusting to the internal spring mechanism (whose purpose is unclear to us - perhaps for replace the polish cake), some paint loss and slight grubbiness, otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Identifying marks or labels etc: "Made in England Black Size No 2C".
Other information: an attractive and rare tin, "Contains No Acid Waterproof Preserves the Leather", we are uncertain as to the date of this tin but would suggest somewhere between 1910 and 1930 - may be of some interest to a collector.
