Condition (used): poor for age  (see below) - SOLD AS SEEN - edge/corner wear, general wear, discolouration and grubbiness to the cover and external spine, damaged and missing pages upto xvii of the preface and at least one from the end of the book, library sticker to inside cover "Birmingham Public Librararies Central Lending Department Ratcliff Place Birmingham 1 Telephone MIDland 29848-9 (Extension 6).....HM Ashmore City Librarian", indistinct library stamps to inside covers "?????????? Abercynon", pencil scribbles at various points throughout the book, otherwise marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are poor/barely fair with moderate tanning, occasional foxing and frequent light damage and grubbiness throughout.

Identifying marks or labels etc: none -  these pages are missing.

Other information: hardback without dust jacket - this looks like a very early edition possibly near to the original publication date of 1934, we understand - very interesting and rare old book in terrible condition - may be of some interest to a collector.
