Condition (used): fair for age (see below) - the transfer is good and it displays well but all parts of the white surface area are subject to crazing, sadly a common problem with this product, a little bit of grubbiness around the handle, 2 tiny blemishes on the underside of the cup at the rim: one a tiny chip; the other a tiny firing blemish - both unseen in normal display, otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  white on russet oval mark "Magic City Designed by Susan Williams Ellis Portmeirion Pottery Stoke on Trent Made In England".

Other information: a very decorative retro item in the Magic City pattern in Serif shape fired in moulded earthenware with transfer-printed decoration in enamels, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and made by Portmeirion Potteries Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent, launched 1966 - may be of some interest to a collector.

Approximate dimensions:     cup: 9.5cm (diameter) 6.5cm (height).
