Condition (used):  generally good for age in fair box (see below) - NB: this auction is for a box of counters only, NOT the full game of Gambo - this game includes the following elements: a good quantity of uncounted card counters; the box is somewhat worn with some edge/corner wear, general moderate wear / marks / grubbiness / discolouration etc, some of the the counters are a little worn, otherwise minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "500 Gambo Counters".

Other information:  very interesting and rare old game component from AR-E-TEE an English company about which we know very little "Gambo is played with a pack of 105 cards (4 sets of 1-26) and a joker). The object of the game is to get rid of one's cards by making or adding to combinations of cards on the table and forming sets and runs of cards. The player who first gets rid of all his ten cards wins the hand and is paid by each of the other players 3 chips for each card they have left in their hands" Source: gameboardgeek, we are not sure of the age but would suggest circa 1920 - may be of some interest to a collector.
