Condition (used): generally good/fair for age in fair box (see below) - this set is complete apart from the board and a missing instructions leaflet and the very old leather dice shaker is almost certainly non-original - this set includes the following: 6 card tokens on wooden bases (Top hat, Iron, car, rocking horse, ship, and shoe); 32 wooden houses (dark green "dull" wood typical of this period), 12 wooden hotels (dark maroon/purple "dull" wood typical of this period); 16 buff/orange chance cards; 16 yellow community chest cards; 29 title deed cards with LNER stations, and an uncounted but good amount of currency - the box is a little worn with some edge/corner wear and general moderate wear/marks grubbiness/discolouration, the cards and money are quite good with some minor wear, the tokens are a little worn with some creases, the leather shaker is a little distorted but sound (non-original and looks like an antique to us) otherwise the contents are fairly good with fairly minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Identifying marks or labels etc: "Manufactured in Great Britain B John Waddington Ltd London & Leeds...Trade Mark Patent No. 453689" (Box).
Other information: good old game, similar to the war time edition but the dice have returned to replace the spinner and the 1948 edition which had British Rail stations - may be of some interest to a collector.
