Condition (used):  fair/good for age (see below) - the cover/spine has minor edge/corner wear, general fairly light wear/marks/grubbiness, the book has some minor pencil name and marks to the back of the frontispiece, otherwise the book has fairly light marks commensurate with age and use - the pages are generally good with light tanning throughout, becoming progressively darker towards the outer edges.

Identifying marks or labels etc:  "Penguin Books Limited ......Published in Penguin Books 1939".

Other information: softback without dust jacket -  a very interesting old book with wood engravings by Gertrude Hermes (believed to be a first edition) - may be of some interest to a collector.
